HARRY M. TYSON, 73, DIED HERE SUNDAY, NOV. 7th

Harry Morrill Tyson, well known retired farmer of the area north of Blair, died Sunday, November 7th at the age of 73. He had lived at 1718 Colfax Street in Blair for a number of years.

He was born at Blair October 14, 1898 and lived his entire life in this county. He was the son of the late Watson Tyson who, likewise, was a farmer in the bottomlands area north of Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Myrna Tyson and by a son, Paul of Ceres, California. There are four grandchildren.

A brother, Kenneth Tyson, preceded him in death in 1962. He is also survived by a niece, Mrs. Barbara Perrius, of Hawthorne, California and by a nephew, Charles Tyson of Rockford, Ill.

He farmed on the bottoms north of Blair for 35 years, starting on the Storz farm in 1917. In 1945, he purchased the Tyson home place which he operated until his retirement in 1952.

Funeral services were held at United Methodist Church Wednesday morning with the Rev. Charles Gates conducting the service. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

The pallbearers were James Andersen, William Andersen, Howard Kubie, Emmett Rogert, Wayne Steinbaugh and Melvin Linhardt.
