PAUL TYSON, 69

Services for Paul Tyson, 69, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair with Father Tim Anderson officiating.

Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery. He died October 12, 1987 at Memorial Community Hospital, Blair.

Serving as pallbearers are Bill Anderson; Jim Anderson; Clyde Fitch; Malvin Lenhart; Steve Sorenson; and Wayne Steinbaugh.

Paul Tyson was born January 15, 1918 to Harry M. and Myrna (Baker) Tyson in Tekamah. He married Donaldeen Scott on May 5, 1945 at Athenaie, California.

He enlisted in the US Army April 29, 1942, and served until his discharge February 2, 1946. He farmed north of Blair from 1946 to 1960.

They then moved to Modelto, California, where he worked for Robertson Manufacturing (The Heil Company), and later he worked for Banquet Foods of Turlock, California.

Upon his retirement, he lived on the Tyson family farm north of Blair.

He was a past Vice-Commander of the Jackson-Peck Legion Post at Herman, and a current member of the Hain-Flynn American Legion in Blair.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Donaldeen; four sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Patricia; Gary and Donna of Blair; Donald and Darlene, and Ronald and Sharon of Lewisville, Texas; and grandson Michael, granddaughter Amanda and step-grandson Ronny Jones.

Memorials have been designated to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, the Blair Rescue Squad and the Blair Fire Department of Rescue Squad.
