Wilma “Jean” Paulsen, 81, of Blair, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 3, at Campbell- Aman Funeral Home in Blair with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Jean Paulsen was born July 8, 1933 in Red Oak, Iowa, the daughter of Lester and Irene (Bengsten) Wheeler. She attended Blair Community Schools and graduated from Blair High School.
On Feb. 17, 1952, she was united in marriage to James C. Paulsen Jr. at First Lutheran Church in Blair. The couple made their home in Blair where they raised their four children. Jean worked for several years at the Washington County Court House in the Clerk of the District Court office.
Jean enjoyed sewing for her friends and especially her family. She loved traveling with Jim, boating and listening to music.
She is survived by her children; son Rick (Susie) Paulsen of Blair, son Mike Paulsen of Papillion, daughter Pam Lemon of Louisville, Colo., daughter-in-law Linda Paulsen of Rapid City, S.D.; sister Nancy (Jim) Miller of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren: Allison (Justin) McClanahan, Mallory Paulsen, Nicholas Paulsen, Rachel Paulsen, Alexis Paulsen, Christopher (Kelly) Lemon, Ryan Lemon and Mitchell Lemon; great-grandson Charlie Lemon; brother-in-law Donnie (Pat) Paulsen of Omaha and sister-in-law Mary Ann Todd of Omaha.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband James C. Paulsen Jr.; son Randall Paulsen and son-in-law Doug Lemon.
Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church or Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.
