Mrs. Catherine Andersen died on the evening of June 9th and her death was very unexpected. She had been ailing for the past fourteen months but of late had been feeling better. Catherine Sendel was born in Holstein, Germany, Jan. 5, 1858 and was married to Detlev Andersen in 1887. To this union 11 children were born, 6 of whom are living. She leaves to mourn, her husband, and daughters, Marie, Ella and Clara, and sons, Henry, George and Otto, besides many friends. The funeral was held Tuesday, June 13, with interment in the German cemetery, north of town, Rev. E. V. Nussbaum officiated.
