S. Neve

S. Neve died at his home in South Sioux City yesterday afternoon as the result of overheat. Mr. Neve is a watch repairer, and besides having a business at South Sioux City visits Homer and Dakota City weekly. While returning from Homer last Saturday on his bicycle he became overheated, being taken with a vomiting spell upon his arrival home, and he gradually grew worse until his sudden death Wednesday afternoon. He leaves a wife and three children. The deceased, with his family, removed to South Sioux City from Blair about six years ago. Interment will be in the cemetery at Dakota City tomorrow. ---- Omaha Bee, July 8.

FindaGrave # 200835706 Note: Sophus was married to Caroline Elizabeth Downing, who was the d/o Arnold Downing and Mary Margaret Keys. Arnold and Mary are buried in Blair cemetery, but Arnold is not in the WashCo data base. I added him per the Vig files, so perhaps the second thing might be to add Arnold to the database. I don't guess he is marked, but Vig says he is in 36-3-, same as Margaret with no grave identified (Margaret is on a shared stone with other family). Sophus and Caroline had 3 children; Edith, Zephyr (bd SD) and Chester. I can't believe Sophus rode all that way on a bike every week. Seems unreal. --notes by FindaGrave volunteer Sheila #47702527
