Mrs. A. F. Newell Former Pastor’s Wife Dies in Minn.

Mrs. Arthur F. Newell passed away Tuesday, June 25th after falling the previous day at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Marvin, the former Lydia Newell, who lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Alice Bross was born in Lincoln on December 4th, 1886 and was 91 years of age at the time of her death.

Her husband, Rev. Arthur Frost Newell served for many years as pastor of the Blair Congregational Church. They were the parents of six children. She is survived by her one daughter, 8 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mrs. Frances Sprecher of Blair is her daughter-in-law.

Memorial services were held in Minneapolis on Saturday. On July 5th, services will be held at the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln at 2 P.M., where he husband was buried in 1959.
