Services for Goldie Linda Newell, 88 of Blair who died at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home Sept. 14, 1996, will be 10:30 a.m. Tues., Sept. 17 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Goldie Linda Newell was born June 21, 1908 at Thief River Falls, Minn. to Fred and Thorina Hansen Wilford. She graduated from Baldwin, Wisc. High School.

On May 24, 1944, she married Eugene Newell at Lusk, Wyo. They owned and operated a tavern at Gilman, Iowa prior to moving to Blair in 1989. She was at Pearl Harbor during the bombing by the Japanese.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in December of 1994; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Robert Ball, Omaha; a daughter, Phyllis Utnage, Paulsbo, Wash,; seven grandchildren, Terrie Deklavs, Patrick Miller, Patricia Kuhl, Valerie Utnage, Melody Harlow, Michelle Brunner and Melinda Montemayor and 23 great- grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
