William S. Beaty, 69

Services will be Wed., Nov. 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah for William S. Beaty, 69 who died Nov. 23, 1996 at Crowell Memorial Home. Rev. Chuck Larson will officiate.

Burial will be in the Arlington Township Cemetery in Moville, Iowa.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

William S. Beaty was born June 17, 1927 in Decatur, Nebr., to William and Olive Eckley Beaty, Sr. He grew up and attended school in Tekamah.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He lived in Sioux City, Iowa from 1968 to 1988. He was employed in maintenance with the Sioux Tool Company. In 1988, he moved to Blair.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Esther in 1972; two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Brenda Beaty and Robert and Sheila Beaty, all of Blair; daughters and son-in-law, Teresa Hawkins, Blair; Christy and Gene Mattson of Battle Ground, Wash.; Valerie and Mike Peffer of Missouri Valley, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Howard Beaty of Milwaukee, Ore. and Ralph Beaty of Huntingdon, Penn, and sisters, Dorothea Patrick of Claycomo, Mo.; Viola Metzler of Omaha and Claira Miller of Tekamah.

Casket bearers will be Rick Beaty, Matt Marin, Irvin Martin, Doug Martin, Dennis Lundquist and Darrell Lundquist.

His grandchildren will be honorary casket bearers.

Charyn Mils will be organist. Lori Bliss will be the vocalist.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
