Lora L. Beaumont, 85, (died Wednesday, August 6, 1997 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair, where she had been a resident for the past 6 1/2 years.

Services were Saturday at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Beaumont was born Jan. 14, 1912, in Omaha to Roy F. and Margaret Keenen Davis. She spent her childhood and most of her adult life in Des Moines, Iowa.

On Sept. 29, 1931, she married William C. Beaumont. They lived in Des Moines until moving to Blair in 1985.

Survivors are her daughter, Helen Benton of Blair; a son, William C. Beaumont, Jr., of Miami, Fla.; one sister and one brother in Des Moines; one brother in Florence, Ore.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Jean Cumes.

Memorials may be given to the Chapel Building Fund at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Kremer Funeral Home in Omaha was in charge of arrangements.
