Tad S. Smith, 45

Tad S. Smith, 45, of Omaha, died on Nov. 4, 2000, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Presbyterian Church of the Master in Omaha. The family will hold a private service at the cemetery.

Tad Scott Smith was born June 16, 1955, in Omaha. He grew up in Fort Calhoun, and lived in Omaha since he was 19 years of age.

Mr. Smith attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity at UNL; he was also a member of the Elevator Constructors Union Local #28, and Ford Tractors Association.

On Aug. 7, 1976, he married Vicki Crossan at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; beloved daughters, Erica and Stephanie; a brother and sister-in-law, Reed and Doris, Smith, and brother, Brad Smith, all of Fort Calhoun; sister, Margie Pokorney of Charlotte, N.C.; mother, Agnes L. Smith of Fort Calhoun; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Albert Smith, Jr.; grandparents, Clarence Sr. and Ella Smith, and Walter and Alma Stephenson.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the Presbyterian Church of the Master.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
