Services for Grace Newkirk, 85 of Blair, who died November 14, 1995 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair were Friday, November 17 at First United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

V. Grace Newkirk was born August 9, 1910 in rural Craig, Nebraska to Dennis and Ella Longwell Osburn. She attended elementary school at Bell Center in Washington County.

She was a member of Elder Grove Church in Burt County prior to moving to Blair where she was a member of First United Methodist Church. She worked at Crowell Memorial Home for 18 years.

She married George Raymond Newkirk January 2, 1946. He preceded her in death in April of 1966.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Opil Osburn and four sisters, Bessie Grothe, Millie (Mrs. Ted Weber, Evelyn Christiansen and Lois Ledbetter.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
