Service Held For William Nichols Wed.

Services for William P. (Pres) Nichols, 82, were held Wednesday, August 1, at 10:30 a.m. in the United Presbyterian Church in Fremont. The Rev. Don Ball officiated. Burial was in the Elk City Cemetery.

Nichols, a retired farmer, died Monday, July 30, 1979, in Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. He was born February 8, 1897, at Leavenworth, Kansas, to William and Stella Murray Nichols.

He married the former Alberta A. Dornacker of Bennington on January 22, 1931. Prior to moving to Fremont in 1956, he farmed in the Arlington, Bennington and Kennard areas. After moving to Fremont, he was employed at the Pfister Farm Store for seven years, before retiring. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Fremont.

He is survived by his wife, Alberta, Fremont; one son, Roger Nichols, Seneca, South Carolina; and one daughter, Mrs. George (Judy) Erdei, Omaha. Two brothers, Harry and Gretton Nichols of Baldwin City, Kansas, and seven grandchildren also survive.

Organist for the services was Marvin Scqou. Craig Schrom was the soloist.

Pallbearers were Herman Kruse, Howard Christensen, Robert Dornacker, Ivan Rulschoff, Kevin Nichols and David Gross.

Memorials may be sent to the United Presbyterian Church of Fremont.

Moser Memorial Chapel of Fremont was in charge of arrangements for the services.
