Dick Sederburg, 70, of Blair, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Richard Lee Milton “Dick” Sederburg, the son of Lyle Gustav and Helen Marie (Crowe) Sederburg, was born Dec. 17, 1943, on a farm northeast of Red Oak, Iowa.

Dick was raised in the Essex, Iowa, area. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in 1958 and graduated from Essex High School in 1962. Following high school, he attended trade school to learn refrigeration.

Dick was united in marriage to Janet Lorsch on July 12, 1965, in Blair.

On April 1, 1977, he started his own company, Dick’s Electric, in Blair.

Dick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Janet “Jan” of Blair; daughters: Jo Ann (James) Lode and Traci (Cory) Duckworth, all of Blair; daughter-in-law Tori Sederburg of Elkhorn; sister Hilma (Richard) Downing of Sioux Falls, S.D.; brother-in-law Paul Russell of Red Oak; sisters-in-law: Darlene Young and Betty Anderson, both of Blair; grandchildren: Josh and Jenni Schmid, Jolene and Tyler Boesch, Mackenzie, Elizabeth, Hannah and Rylee Sederburg, Kobe and Braylee Duckworth; great-grandchildren: Jocelyn and Kadence Schmid; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his son, Rick Sederburg; parents Lyle and Helen Sederburg; sister Lila May Russell; and brother Harold Sederburg.
