Pearl I. Anderson, 68, of rural Kennard, passed away at the Blair Hospital on Sept. 13, 1920.

Pearl was born on Oct. 14, 1920 in Blair to Otto and Lizzie Christ Mencke. She attended the Summers grade school and later attended Blair High School.

On Sept. 22, 1939, she was united in marriage to John Anderson in Tekamah. They lived in the Kennard area since their marriage.

Pearl worked for Wilkinson Manufacturing in Fort Calhoun, and later worked for Dana College, retiring in 1963 after being employed there for 23 years.

Pearl is survived by her husband, John; one daughter, Phyliss, Mrs. Loren Reining of Omaha; three grandchildren, Julie McAndrews, Jerry Reining, and Teresa Knutson; also by three great-grandchildren, Eric and Kyle McAndrews and Krystal Reining.

Pearl is also survived by nine sisters; Emma Hartley, Tacoma, Washington; Sophie Hineline, Blair; Helen Hineline, Blair; Martha Cushman, Newport; Opal Warrick, Blair; Betty Brothers, Missouri Valley, Ia.; Norma Rapp, Benson, Arizona; Delores Kochner, Lincoln; and Barbara Aronson, Overland Park, Kansas.

Pearl was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce; two sisters and one brother.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard with the Rev. Norman Lillegard officiating. Burial in the Kennard Cemetery.
