Lora Niebaum, 95

Lora I. Niebaum, 95, of Fremont died Sunday, March 8, 1998, at Arbor Manor Living Center in Fremont.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church. Rev. Leland Uden will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Niebaum was born Feb. 12, 1903, on the family farm near Admah, Neb., in Washington County to Henry and Emma (Neiderkroeger) Meier. She grew up on the farm near the Vacoma area (west of Spiker in Washington County) where he family moved. She attended St. John Lutheran School at Vacoma and Midland Lutheran College in Fremont. On Dec. 30, 1931, she married Lawrence H. Niebaum at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. They farmed for 32 years southeast of Fontanelle. In December 1963, they retired and moved to Fremont.

She had been a member of Salem Lutheran Church since 1936; Lutheran Church women, the Fontanelle Garden and Study Club and the County Extension Club.

Survivors are two sons, Dr. Maurice Niebaum and Dr. Lowell Niebaum, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence on July 22, 1994.

Memorials may be given to the Salem Lutheran Church.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
