Former Countian Died On W. Coast

Older residents of Washington county will recall Ezra A. Niederdeppe, one-time resident of the Nickerson and Fontanelle vicinities. He died recently at Oxnard, California. He was 71 years old.

Mr. Niederdeppe grew up in the west part of Washington county and married Martha Grauenhorst after which the couple moved to Lincoln where he became a mail carrier. Later he transferred to California where he continued his work.

His wife preceded him in death and in 1956 he was married to Floella Carpenter, who survives. Other survivors are a son, Gerald and a daughter Althea, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grand-children. A sister Anna Meierhenry lives at Fremont and a brother Henry Niederdeppe, lives in the Telbasta area.

Burial was in San Pedro, California.
