Thomas V. Smith Buried Tuesday

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Thomas V. Smith of Omaha. Mr. Smith for many years was a driver for the Greyhound Bus Company and upon retirement decided to live in Blair. He built a home near Highway 73 in the DeSoto area where he lived for a number of years. In recent months, due to failing health, he sold the place and moved back to Omaha.

Mr. Smith was born July 31st, 1904 at Omaha where he lived all his life until moving to the Blair vicinity.

He is survived by his wife and by a daughter, Mrs. Vicki Martin, of Omaha. A brother, Fred Smith, of Omaha survives and Gail Stricklett, of Blair, is a half-brother.

Funeral services were held at the Campbell Mortuary Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Joel Kemmerer conducting. Burial was in the Blair cemetery.
