C. Peter Nielsen Died At Fremont Wed. Jan. 17th.

C. Peter Neilsen, 75, of 1672 North D. St., Fremont, died January 17 at the Fremont Hospital.

He was born July 8, 1897, on a farm south of Blair and lived in the vicinity for over 40 years. He served in the United States Navy during World War I and was an Army Veteran of World War II.

He was married June 30, 1944, to Freda Duffield of North Bend and moved to Fremont. At the time of his death he was a retired warehouse foreman for Gambles Inc.

Survivors include his widow, Freda; brothers, Alfred, of Kennard; Carl of Eugene, Oregon; Gifford of Fremont; and sisters, Mrs. Lester Hansen (Emma) of Blair and Mrs. Ivan Hovendick, Sr. (Ella) of Herman. One brother Axel, of Blair preceded him in death.

Services were held at the First Methodist Church of Fremont, Saturday with burial in the Woodland Cemetery, North Bend, Nebraska.

Pallbearers were nephews, Warren, James, Duane and Don Nielsen, Rolland Long and Larry Goldsberry.
