Mary A. Christensen, 84, of Kennard, died Monday, June 30, 2008, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Interment was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mary A. Hager was born July 25, 1923, at St. Libory to Raymond and Anna (Mueller) Hager. She attended school in St. Libory and Grand Island. Over the years she lived in Denver and Omaha.

On May 12, 1951, she married Charles A. Christensen in Fremont. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard.

She is survived by her husband, Charles, of Kennard; son and daughters-in-law, Charles D. and Lola of Kennard; Ron and Peg of Arlington; Carl and Barb of Nebraska City; Bob and Andrea of Parsons, Kan.; and Dan of Tucson, Ariz.; daughters and son-in-law, Deb and Allen Harris of Phoenix, Ariz.; Charlene Wysocki of Yutan and Marlene Schulte of Pine, Colo.; 24 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Eleanora Hager, Barb Foster, Clara Rossetto, and Tilly Melzow; grandchildren, Timothy Charles Christensen and Hannah Rae Lemke; and great-grandchildren, Ryan James Andrews.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
