SERVICES FOR MRS. MYRTLE CHRISTENSEN WERE HELD SATURDAY

Funeral services for Myrtle Viola Christensen were held on Saturday, July 6th at the Tekamah Baptist Church in Tekamah. Mrs. Christensen lived in Tekamah but passed away at the Blair Community Hospital on July 4, 1968.

She was born at Spiker, Nebraska on September 10, 1900. Her parents were William and Abigail Hovendick.

A prayer service was held at Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair before the service in the Tekamah Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Rev John Akers officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Survivors from Washington County include two sisters and one brother. The sisters are Mabel Lindenmeyer and Edyth Atwood of Blair. Ed Hovendick, of Herman, is a brother.

Pallbearers were Howard Hovendick, Robert Brodersen, Rolland Walker, Hilburn Nelson, Walter Jahnel and Emil Weber.

Gene Kinnison was Funeral Director.
