Samuel Christensen died at his home in Dexterville at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon of cancer, having been sick for two years and five months. He moved to Blair from his farm out near the Gardner school house last fall, being unable to do farm work. The funeral will be held at the house at 1:30 and at the Danish church at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. He was born in Denmark and was 49 year of age. He was married to Miss Anna Anderson 22 years ago last fall and their only child died in infancy. He has no relative in this county and only distant ones across the sea.

Sam Christensen, who has been a hopeless invalid for a long time, answered the final summons at his recent home in Dexterville on last Tuesday at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. He sold his farm, near the Gardner school, on account of physical incapacity to conduct it, last year and moved into town. His wife, to who he was married twenty two years ago survives, their only child dying in infancy. The funeral services were held at the Danish Church in Dexterville, yesterday, Thursday, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Rev. Lang officiating.

Sam Christensen, a resident of this city died at his home at three o’clock yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Christensen was forty-nine years of age, a native on Denmark and for twenty-eight years a resident of Nebraska and for the past eighteen years having lived in this country.

The deceased leaves a wife and other relatives to mourn him. The cause of his death is attributed to cancer of the stomach from which he has suffered for some time.

The funeral services are to be held at the residence at 1:30 and at Danish Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m., Thursday. Rev. Lang will officiate.
