Mrs. C. M. Christenson passed away at her home in Blair after an illness lasting from Sunday until Wednesday of last week as the result of an attack of the flu.

Deceased was born hear Oldense, Denmark, July 23, 1848, hence had she lived until her next birthday she would have reached the four score years. She came to America in 1881 making her home in Lincoln, Nebr. Here she met Mr. Christenson and late, Sept. 22, 1883 they were married. They continued to make Lincoln their home until in 1892 when they moved to a farm near Mason City, Nebr. Here they resided until 1909 when they moved to Blair.

Since coming to Blair, Mrs. Christenson has made many friends who hold her in the highest esteem for her many womanly and Christian virtues. She was at all times, a good neighbor and a kind and loving mother and wife and in all her ways she was known for her upright character.

Four children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Christenson, one passed away in infancy; those living are, two sons and one daughter: Anton of New York City, Holgar of New Orleans and Mrs. Mary Debel of Blair.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 10, at 2 p.m. from the Danish Lutheran Church, of which the deceased was a consistent member, with Rev. H. Nielsen the local pastor, officiating and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Besides the bereaved husband and the children already mentioned, two sisters and one brother who reside in Denmark, are left to mourn the loss of the dear one called to that home beyond.

(typist's note: The Blair Cemetery records indicate that her name was Maren Christensen.)
