Funeral services for Calvin Christiansen, 65 of Kennard, who died at his home October 15, 1989, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 21 at Emmaus Lutheran Church with Rev. Kenneth Jensen officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie View Cemetery.

Calvin E. Christiansen was born on October 12, 1924 at Kennard, Nebraska to Chris and Hannah Kunnemann Christiansen. He attended the Rispin and Washington Schools and graduated from Bennington High School. He was confirmed at the Emmaus Lutheran Church. He farmed in the Kennard area his entire life.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Betty Peterson of Lincoln; niece, Lois Ronhovde; nephew, John Peterson; and cousins.
