Emmaus Lutheran Church will be the site of funeral services for Hannah Sophie Christiansen, 84, who passed away on April 26, 1985 at Blair Hospital. The funeral will be conducted by Reverend Russell Saltzman at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30th. Music will be provided by Clare Cowing and Homer Nielsen. Interment will be made in Prairie View Cemetery at Kennard.

A prayer service was to be held on Monday evening at Campbell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Niels Christensen, Donald Doose, Raymond Wrich, Merle Christiansen, Walter Henricksen, and Walter Wrich.

Hannah was born on January 1, 1901 at Elkhorn, Nebraska to Dietrich and Sophia (Stuthmann) Kunnemann. She was married on January 18, 1922 to Chris Christiansen in Elkhorn, Nebraska, and they were parents of two children, who survive. Her husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Mrs. Betty Peterson of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Calvin Christiansen of Kennard, Nebraska; two grandchildren, John Peterson of Noblesville, Indiana and Lois Ronhovde of Davey, Nebraska; two great-grandchildren, Erin and Erica Peterson; and a sister, Clara Hedges of Brady, Texas. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Christiansen was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and one sister.

Memorials are suggested for Emmaus Lutheran Church or Prairie View Cemetery.
