SERVICES HELD SATURDAY FOR WALT CHRISTIANSEN

Walter Peter Christiansen, life-long resident of the Kennard community, died Wednesday, January 24, at Blair Community Memorial Hospital. He was 52 years of age.

Mr. Christiansen was born June 19, 1915 at Kennard to Jens P. Christiansen and Inger Andersen Christiansen. He farmed near Kennard all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel; two daughters, Mrs. Steven Sibbernsen (Carol) now with her husband in the armed forces stationed at Aschaffenburg, Germany, and Miss Renee Christiansen of Kennard. There is one granddaughter, Penny Sibbernsen.

He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Inger Christiansen, and a brother Vernon, both of Kennard; and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Desler of Omaha and Mrs. Orval Allison of Tekamah.

Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Emmaus Lutheran Church of Kennard with the Rev. Arden Dorn officiating. Burial was in the Kennard Cemetery, with the Bendorf Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Harold Misfeldt, John Lorsch, Paul Petersen, James Andreasen, Harry Andreasen, and Ross Davis.
