Bernice Snowbeck, 79

Services were Saturday, May 16, at First Lutheran Church for Bernice Larson Snowbeck, 79, who died May 13, 1992. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Bernice Larson Snowbeck was born to Lewis and Gertrude Bidne Larson December 25, 1912 at Douglas, North Dakota. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church at Douglas.

After graduation from high school in 1931, she attended Bemis School of Business in Minot, North Dakota. She was secretary in the county superintendent of schools office from 1933-38 in Minot.

She met Alden J. Snowbeck in Minot in 1937 and they were married in Minneapolis, Minnesota June 13, 1938. They lived in New Ulm, Minnesota from 1938 to 1946 when they moved to Blair.

She was an active member of First Lutheran Church, circles, Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary, Extension Clubs, Monday Afternoon Club, Dana Women’s Club and Good Shepherd Auxiliary where she was a volunteer for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, A.J. Snowbeck; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Judith of Wheaton, Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and John Boynton of Shoreview, Minnesota; four grandchildren and one brother, Lyle B. Larson of Puyallup, Washington.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
