G.W. Snowdon Funeral Services Are Tomorrow

Funeral services will be held for George W. Snowdon tomorrow afternoon at the Bendorf Funeral Home. Mr. Snowdon was fatally injured in a two-car auto crash at a rural intersection near Blair on Sunday. Details of the accident appear elsewhere in this issue.

The deceased was born June 13, 1894 at Blair and he lived in this county his entire life. For many years he farmed in the DeSoto area southeast of Blair. He served his country in World War I and after the war was over he returned to this area.

He was married on June 10, 1923 to Eva Celest Sully, whose family had been residents of the DeSoto area for many years. Mrs. Snowdon died in October, 1959.

Following his wife’s death, he continued farming until 1964 when he retired. At the time of his death he was making his home in Ft. Calhoun.

He is survived by two sons and a daughter. The sons ae John Clark Snowdon of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Max T. Snowdon of Omaha. The daughter is Mrs. Clifford Walsh (Eva Mae) who lives at Tinley Park, Ill. There are fifteen grandchildren.

Two sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Herman Lallman (Ruth) of Winslow, Nebraska and Mrs. George Hanson (Marie) of Omaha.

Services at the Funeral Home will be conducted by the Rev. James Warn, of the Congregational Church and burial will be made in the Holy Cross cemetery. The pallbearers will be Don and Jim Snowdon, Wendell and Bert Hanson, Louis Sully and Delmar Miller.
