Mrs. L. L. Snyder Died Suddenly Tuesday Afternoon

Ada Mae Snyder, wife of L.L. Snyder, longtime Blair businessman, died suddenly Tuesday afternoon following a heart attack. She had been in failing health for more than a year.

Mrs. Snyder was 81 years of age and had lived in Blair for nearly fifty years. She was born at Woodbine, Iowa, August 26, 1895, but came to Blair with her husband many years ago. They have lived at 2029 Washington Street through the years they have lived here.

As a young woman, Mrs. Snyder was a school teacher. She had many interests, all of which centered about her home and her friends.

She traveled extensively with her husband and the couple made a number of trips abroad to places as far away as Australia. They took many ocean cruises and had traveled by car extensively throughout virtually every state in the union.

She is survived by her husband and by a son, Harry C., who lives in Fremont.

She is also survived by four sisters, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The sisters are Miss Jenny M. Patton, of Woodbine, Iowa; Mrs. Lulu Seeley, of Logan, Iowa; Mrs. Ruth Welch, of Dennison, Iowa, and Mrs. Joy Atkins, of Logan.

Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Blair at 1:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon where she has attended for many years. The Rev. Gordon Patterson will conduct the service. Burial will be made in the Woodbine, Iowa cemetery, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home.
