Elizabeth W. Snyder, 93

Elizabeth W. Snyder, 93, of Arlington, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at Valhaven Nursing Center in Valley.

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 7, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Fremont. Interment was in Fremont’s Memorial Cemetery.

Elizabeth W. “Betty” Werth was born Nov. 17, 1913, in Wathena, Kan., to Gustaf and Emma Werth. She grew up in Omaha and moved to Fremont in 1948. She worked at the Nebraska Ordnance Plant in Mead during the Korean War.

On Feb. 28, 1959, she married Theodore W. Snyder at the First United Methodist Church in Fremont.

Mrs. Snyder was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son, David McLey of Arlington, two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Phillips and Dorothy and George Capps, all of Fremont; 21 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Esther Baltz of Oxnard, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, in 1990; two sons, Jack and Richard McLey; daughter, Virginia Curren; sister, Mary O’Connor; and five brothers: Elmer, Frank, Charlie, David and Fritz Werth.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
