Marguerite E. Barry, 97

Marguerite E. Barry, 97, of Blair, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007 at the Montclair Nursing Home in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 27, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Marguerite E. Lemon was born May 3, 1909 in Lyons to Robert and Maude (Conpton) Lemon. She graduated from Blair High School and received her degree from Dana College and later completed her master’s degree. She lived most of her life in Blair, first teaching country school then teaching fourth grade for 40 years in the Blair Public Schools. She was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and the teacher’s association.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margery and Roy Mattson of Omaha; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; and two brothers Robert and Jerry Lemon.
