Mrs. Fleda Bayer of Ft. Calhoun Died Nov. 5

Mrs. Fleda Mildred Bayer, a resident of Ft. Calhoun, died at Memorial Community Hospital at Blair on Tuesday, November 5th. Mrs. Bayer had several relatives in this vicinity.

The deceased was born at Quitman, Missouri, June 12, 1911, and was 63 years of age at her death. Her husband was Chester Bayer, whom she married in Council Bluffs January 17, 1959.

She is survived by her husband and by a son, Delbert Linthicum, of Norfolk, Nebraska.

Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Ora Pennington, of Red Oak, Iowa. There are two brothers, Guy Shelton, of Charlotte, North Carolina and Murray Shelton of Missouri Valley, Iowa. A half-brother of Mrs. Bayer is Andrew Winslow of Blair and a half-sister is Maxine Winslow of Osceola, Nebraska.

She has three sisters: Mary Ellen White, of Quitman, Missouri; Margaret White, of Burlington Junction, Missouri and Mrs. Eva Mae Powers, of Wilcox, Missouri. Earl Winslow, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, is a brother.

Funeral services were held at Burlington Junction, Missouri Friday, November 8th and burial was made in the Ohio cemetery at that place. The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge.
