Services for Ernest H. Beadman, 74 of Fremont and formerly of Nickerson, who died July 18, 1996 at Elkhorn Manor in Elkhorn, Nebraska, were Monday, July 22 at Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle. Rev. Charles W. Bichel officiated.

Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Ernest H. Beadman was born September 7, 1921 at Jet, Oklahoma to Ernest L. and Hattie Laymon Beadman. He grew up at Jet and was a 1941 graduate of Jet High School.

He lived at Cherokee, Oklahoma for four years before moving Nickerson in the early 1950s. He moved to Fremont from Nickerson June of 1995.

He had been employed at the former O. P. Skaggs Grocery Store in Fremont and later worked at the former Randell’s Grocery Store in Fremont.

He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle; Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 200 of Fremont and was a former member of the Nickerson Fire Department for 40 years.

He married Grace M. Timm January 3, 1946 at Anthony, Kansas. Sue preceded him in death December 10, 1991.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sisters, Vemie Berry of Nampa, Idaho and Hazel Tullus of Cherokee, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Tom Crawford, Mark Hansen, Billy McManigal, Jim Kuddes, Mark Miller and Tom Miller.

Memorials may be directed to the Nickerson Fire Department.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
