Funeral services were Tuesday, July 10 at Christ Episcopal Church in Central City for Gerald Ray Nielsen, 54 of Clarks who died July 8, 1990 in Central City.

Gerald Ray Nielsen was born in Fremont and attended Fremont Schools. He farmed in the Nickerson area until moving to the Clarks area in 1978. He farmed there and worked at the Clarks’ Coop.

He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.

He married Dorothy Jensen August 10, 1958. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Ruthie Wolsleben of Grand Island and Mary Hoffer of Clarks; a son, Jay of York; his father, Magnus Nielsen of Nickerson; two brothers, Donald of Fremont and Leonard of Hooper and four grandchildren.
