Gwyer Donald Nielsen, 68, died on Sept. 17, 1988 at a hospital in Apple Valley, Ca.

Mr. Nielsen was a native of Blair and a 1937 graduate of Blair High School. He was the son of Jens and Clara Nielsen who were the former owners of the North Side Store.

He had been living in Apple Valley for the last 34 years and had resided in the state of California for 49 years. He operated the Pioneer Market in Victorville, Ca.

Mr. Nielsen was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Madeline O. Fleming.

Survivors include his wife, Lenna Nielsen of Apple Valley, a step-daughter, Kathleen Heller of Lancaster, Ca., a nephew, a niece and four grandchildren.

Mr. Nielsen is interred at the Mt. Shasta Memorial Park in Mt. Shasta, Ca.
