Henry C. Nielsen Dead

Henry C. Nielsen, age 18 years, died in Omaha, in the Nicholas Senn., hospital, Tuesday morning Febr. 1, 1916. He was taken sick with the grip and afterwards pneumonia developed from which he had suffered for the last month. About two weeks before his death he was moved to the hospital in Omaha and an operation performed, and it was then thought that he would get better, but a week later he was taken for the worse and his heart gradually grew weaker, until he gently passed away.

The relatives were summoned, Tuesday morning, but death had claimed him, before they could reach him. Henry came into this community during his childhood, and made his home with Mr. Jas. C. Johnson and family. He was an exemplary young man, always friendly, and well liked by all of his acquaintances.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon in Omaha, from N.P. Swanson’s Chapel, at half past one and was laid to rest, beside his parents in the Springwell cemetery.

He leaves two sisters, Miss Ida Nielsen, of Askov, Minn., and Mrs. Thorwald Christiansen of Washington, besides a host of friends.

The pall bearers were chosen from his intimate friends, as follows: Rasmus and Knut Rasmussen, Pete Olsen, J.L. Anderson, Theordore Jensen and Christian Johnson.

Many friends join with us in extending our sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones.
