Mrs. Frank Nielsen Passed Away Tuesday Evening

Mrs. Frank Nielsen passed away at the Good Shepherd Home, in Blair, on Tuesday evening, December 3rd. She has resided there for the past five months.

Hilda Marie Larsen was born near Copenhagen, Denmark on August 6, 1882. At the age of 14 she came to eastern Canada with her parents and they settled in New Brunswick. She was married to Rev. Frank Nielsen in 1917 and lived in Canada until 1921. At that time they moved to Wisconsin and made their home at Oregon, Racine, Oshkosh and Clinton, before coming to Blair in 1959.

Mrs. Nielsen is survived by her husband, Rev. Frank Nielsen of 800 No. 18th street in Blair. Other survivors include a son, Homer, of Blair; and Rev, Luther M. Nielsen of Detroit. There are two daughters surviving. They are Mrs. Herbert Jeppesen, of Des Plaines, Illinois, and Mrs. Cecil Currier of Okinawa, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Nielsen has a brother Hans, who lives in Canada; and Mrs. Gudrin Christensen of Canada is a sister. One brother, Louis Larsen, is of Norfolk.

Services have been set for Saturday, December 7th, at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. George Pallesen will officiate with the Campbell Mortuary in charge of arrangements. The service will be at 2:00 with interment in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nelson Boe, Richard Boe, Paul Peterson, Herbert Jeppesen, Steve Refsell and Dr. Clifford Madsen.

The family has requested that any memorials be directed to the Good Shepherd Home at Blair.
