Services for Leth J. Nielsen, 79, of Blair, who died May 25, 1985, in the Blair Community Memorial Hospital, were Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair. The Rev. Thorvald Hansen officiated and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Nielsen was born July 8, 1905, in Washington County to Laurs and Gertrude Nielsen. He married Dorothy A. Jones on Jan. 27, 1934.

He attended Long Creek School and farmed west of Fort Calhoun until his retirement in March 1973. He also worked for Wilkinson Manufacturing for 20 years before retiring there in 1972.

He was preceded in death by his wife, on April 23, 1985; his parents, three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by two sons, Dick Nielsen and George Ryan, both of Blair; one daughter, Janet Davis of Honolulu, Hawaii; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Lorayne) Bosking of Omaha; and 11 grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Brad Ryan, Don Ryan Don Kohler, Willie Ryan, Rick Nielsen, Dan Nielsen and Jerry Donner.

Organist was Clare Cowing and Homer Nielsen was the vocalist.
