Marie K. Nielsen, 100, of Blair, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Orum Cemetery.

Marie Kathrine Nielsen was born March 30, 1905, in Kennard, to John and Johanne (Bade) Wolsmann. She was baptized at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard, and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Blair. She attended Brewster and Blair schools.

On Sept. 10, 1927, she married Edward G. Nielsen. She lived in Blair all of her life.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Marilyn Rasmussen, Eugene Wolsmann, John and Betty Wolsmann, Mary Ann (Mrs. Roy) Fauss, Dorothy Schmidt, and Eleanor Buchardt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in February, 1971; as well as her sisters, Annie Nelsen and Meta Buchardt; brothers, Detlof, Soren and Henry Wolsmann; nephew, Norman Buchardt; and nieces, Norma Paulsen, Marian Peterson, Roma Gehrk and Lila Hansen.

Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church or the donor’s charity of choice.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
