Marvin Gifford Nielsen

Marvin Gifford Nielsen, born Feb. 10, 1933 in Blair, died Sunday, July 15, at Mojave, California.

He was the son of Carl and Frances Nielsen, currently of Eugene, Oregon. The family moved from Blair to Oregon in 1941, where Marvin finished school and spent two years in the military. He worked for his father in the concrete business. He married in 1958, and leaves his wife and six children.

Nielsen entered Devry Technical School in Chicago in 1964, completed courses in high technology and was employed by T.R.W. in Los Angeles. He was involved in many N.A.S.A. moon flight missions in his ten years with T.R.W.

At the time of his death, Nielsen worked for Los Angeles Water and Electric.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, two daughters, his mother and father, two sisters, and uncles, aunts and cousins in the Blair and Fremont areas.

He was buried in Arlington Cemetery in Carona, California. He died from a massive heart attack. He was 51.
