CHRISTIANSEN FUNERAL HELD

JENS CHRISTIANSEN, 63, RETIRED KENNARD FARMER, BURIED MONDAY

Jens P. Christiansen, 63, retired Kennard farmer, died Friday at Dodge County Community Hospital at Fremont.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Christiansen, he was born Nov. 4, 1884, and farmed in this county for many years. He and Inger Andersen were married in 1910.

Surviving Mr. Christiansen are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Orville Allison of Tekamah and Mrs. Elmer Desler of Blair; two sons, Walter and Vernon Christiansen, both of Kennard; his aged mother, Mrs. Peter Christiansen; three brothers and a sister; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services, with arrangements in charge of the Bendorf Funeral Home in Blair, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kennard Lutheran Church. The Rev. P. L. Thorslev, pastor, officiated, and interment followed in Kennard cemetery. Jack Jacobsen was soloist at the funeral, with Prof. Paul Nyholm of Blair as accompanist.

Among those present from out of town for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. S. K. Hansen of Minden; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wiese and daughters of Cherry county; Mr. and Mrs. Chris Eastergaard, Harry Eastergaard, and Mr. and Mrs. Nels Beck, all of Custer county; Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Benson, Mrs. Roy Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Orie Andersen and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Petersen and son, all of South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. Anders Anderson and Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Jens Andersen, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Andersen, Mr. and Mrs. Erving Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rickert, all of Oakland; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Andersen and daughter, A. C. Nelson, Mrs. Ford, all of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gottsch, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Betts and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Grant, all of Hooper.

JENS CHRISTIANSEN DIED MARCH 14TH

Jens P. Christiansen, a resident of Kennard, passed away at the Dodge County hospital march 14, at the age of 63 years, 4 months and 10 days.

In the year of 1910 he was married to Ingar Anderson. Four children were born to this union, two daughters, Mrs. Orville Allison of Tekamah and Mrs. Elmer Desler of Blair and two sons, Walter and Vernon, both of Kennard. These four children with the wife and six grandchildren and one sister and three brothers are left to mourn his death.

Funeral services were held last Monday afternoon from the Kennard Lutheran church with Rev. P. L. Thorslev officiating, and interment was made in the Kennard cemetery.

Hansen of Minden, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wiese and daughters from Cherry County, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Estergaard, Harry Estergaard and Mr. and Mrs. Nels Beck of Custer county, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Benson, Mrs. Roy Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Orie Andersen and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Petersen and son of South Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. Anders Andersen and daughter, Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Jane Andersen, Mr. and Mrs Nels Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Erving Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rickert of Oakland, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Andersen and daughter, A. C. Nelsen, Mrs. Ford, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gottsch and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Betts of Omaha and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Grant of Hooper.
