BETTY CHRISTIANSEN RITES AT KENNARD TUESDAY MORNING

Funeral services were held at the Kennard Methodist Church Tuesday morning for Betty Christiansen, wife of Vernon Christiansen of Kennard.

Mary Elizabeth Christiansen was born at Kennard August 6th, 1922, and had lived in that area all of her life. She was 53 years of age at her death. She had died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair on Saturday, May 22nd.

Mr. and Mrs. Christiansen were farmers, having operated a farm since their marriage in Arlington on January 16th, 1945.

She is survived by her husband Vernon and by two sons and a daughter. The sons are Brian James Christiansen of Neligh, Nebraska; David Jay Christiansen of Fremont; and the daughter is Mrs. Sydney Clausen (Janice) of Kennard. There are seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters and three brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Neal Andreasen of Blair and Mrs. Lloyd McCann of Omaha. The brothers are Joe Stewart of Kennard, George Stewart of Blair and Bruce Stewart of Bloomington, Nebraska.

The Rev. John Fritzmeier conducted the funeral service and burial was made in the Kennard Cemetery under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home of Blair.

Pallbearers were Mervyn Gottsch, Harland Gottsch, William Byers, Robert Andreasen, Norman Misfeldt, and Glen Vogt.
