THE REV. CHARLES L. R. PEDERSEN, 73

The Rev. Charles L. R. Pedersen, 73, died at his home in Fremont on Saturday, April 22, 2006.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 25, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Omaha. There is no visitation.

Charles L. R. Pedersen was born May 1, 1932 in Omaha, and was raised in Blair. He graduated from Blair High School in 1950, then attended Dana College before graduating from The University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 1954.

He graduated from the Berkley Divinity School in 1957 and then served parishes in Fairbury, Wymore, Hebron, Pawling, New York, and Stanford, Conn., before coming to All Saints Episcopal Church in Omaha in 1971 as rector. He retired from All Saints in 1993. He also served as chaplain at Brownell-Talbot School in Omaha for 27 years. He moved to Fremont in 2003.

Father Pedersen married Frances Cook on Nov. 23, 1956, in New Haven, Conn. She survives him, as do two daughters and a son-in-law, Jennifer Pedersen of Denver, Colo.; and Marcy and Mike Krause of Tekamah; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Sarah Pedersen of Omaha; Hugh and Marcy Pedersen of Inglewood; and James and Sharvonna Pedersen of Omaha; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
