Dorothy Siert, 82

Dorothy Louise Siert, 82, of Blair, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1997 at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Siert was born Dec. 2, 1915, at Blair to John and Gladys (Luse) Petersen. She graduated from Blair High School and later attended Dana College. She was of the third generation of her family to live in the Blair community. On Dec.1, 1935, she married Robert Siert in Omaha. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Rebeccas, an extension club and was a 4-H and Girl Scout leader.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Robert Madsen and Barbara and Gaylen Sandvold, all of Blair; four grandchildren: Michael Madsen, Jeff Madsen, Susan Tiede and Jim Sandvold; and four great-grandchildren: Kylie Madsen, Brian Madsen, Michael Sandvold and Jake Robert Tiede.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 1994; her parents and one brother, Jack Petersen.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
