Services are on Tuesday for Effie Siert

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, at Campbell Funeral Home for Effie Elizabeth Siert, 97, who died December 18, 1983, at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Dr. Gordon Patterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Effie Elizabeth Siert was born June 28, 1886, in Angus, Nebraska, to Frank and Alice (Thompson) Smith. She married Paul Siert November 11, 1908 in Blair.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Siert, Blair; Paul and Nedra Siert, Umatilla, Florida; and William and betty Siert, Omaha; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Frances) Miller, Omaha; and Mrs. Harold (Martha) Nielsen, South Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Eleven grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Smith, Nevada City, California; and three sisters, Grace Ferraro and Dora Whitaker, Redwood City, California; and Mabel Mutti, Plymouth, Indiana, also survive her.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Jensen, Bud Jensen, Joe McManigal, Bob Madsen, Jeff Madsen and Gaylen Sandvold.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Home or the Blair Rescue Squad.

Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
