Fred Siert, 87, Died Tuesday At Reseda, California

Fred Siert, a long-time contractor and builder in Blair, died Tuesday at Reseda, California, where he was living in retirement. He was 87 years old.

He was a native of Blair, having been born and raised here. He and his brother, Paul Siert, worked together as builders and carpenters, and many homes and buildings in Blair were erected by them.

Both of the men were noted for their fine workmanship and expert cabinet work.

Mr. Siert retired from active work in 1941 and moved to California.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary in Blair. The Rev. Richard Atherton will conduct the service and burial will be made in the Blair cemetery.
