Katherine Siert Dies At Age of 95

Miss Katherine Gertrude Siert passed away at the Crowell Memorial Home, January 24th,, where she was a resident for the past two years.

Miss Siert was born January 17th, 1871 at Blair to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Siert. As a young girl, she was a secretary at the LaSalle Hotel in Chicago. About 1918 she returned to Blair and made her home with her parents and her sister Margaret, but lived alone for over 20 years following their deaths.

She is survived by a brother Fred of Hollywood, California, and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Martha, and six brothers: Henry, George, Frank, Paul, Chris and Pete preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. January 26th at the Campbell Mortuary. Rev. Dale Westadt officiated and burial was in the Blair cemetery. Pallbearers were her nephews.
