He was a retired wholesale representative of building materials. He worked for G.J. Timmerman Company of Des Moines, Iowa.

He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the George W. Lininger Lodge No. 268 AF and AM in Omaha. He was an Episcopalian.

He is survived by his wife, Nedra; brothers, Robert H., Blair and William F. of Omaha and two sisters, Martha Nielsen, South Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Frances Miller of Omaha.
