Paul K. Siert Buried Here Wednesday

Paul K. Siert, well-known Blair resident for many years, died at his home in west Blair. He was 82 years old.

Mr. Siert, who spent a lifetime in the building and contracting business, was a member of a pioneer Blair family. His brother, Henry, was the first white child born in Blair and he and his family saw Blair grow from its very beginning.

The buildings he has personally built or supervised in their erection in this area number into the hundreds. He was regarded as a meticulous worker, a man devoted to his job and one who came to be recognized for his skill and speed. He built before the day of electric equipment.

He is survived by his wife, Effie, two daughters, Mrs. Harold E. (Martha) Nielsen, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Mrs. Leonard J. (Frances) Miller, of Omaha. There are three sons, Robert H. of Blair and Paul C. and William F., both of Omaha. A sister, Miss Kate Siert, lives on west Washington street, Blair. A brother Fred Siert, and with whom he was associated many years in the building business, lives in Hollywood, California.

Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Campbell Mortuary and burial was made in the Blair cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Jensen, Donald Jensen, Donald Mencke, Bennard Reeh, Wilford Stork, and Garland Runyon.
