Services for Robert Henry Siert, 82, of Blair, who died July 20, 1994 at his Blair home, were Saturday, July 29 at First United Methodist Church in Blair.

Robert Siert was born April 2, 1912 to Paul and Effie (Smith) Siert at Blair. He graduated from Blair High School.

He lived his entire life in Blair and was in the construction business before retiring in 1974. He then worked for the city of Blair as its building inspector until 1976.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Omaha Builders Association and was a past member of the Blair Chamber of Commerce.

He married Dorothy Petersen in Omaha on December 1, 1935.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Paul. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Robert Madsen of Blair; Barbara and Gaylen Sandvold of Blair; four grandchildren: Mike Madsen of York, Nebraska; Jeff Madsen of Blair; Susan and Bill Tiede of Adrian, Minnesota; Jim and Gracia Sandvold of Blair; three great-grandchildren: Kylie and Bryan Madsen; Jake Robert Tiede; one brother, William Siert of Omaha; two sisters, Frances Miller of Omaha and Martha Nielsen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
