Dorothy M. Sievers, 94

Dorothy M. Sievers, 94, of Fort Calhoun, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, in Blair.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Interment is in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Dorothy M. Sievers was born Nov. 12, 1905, to William and Anna Sievers in Fort Calhoun. She traveled to Portland, Oregon to teach kindergarten until her retirement. She took leave from teaching for three years to care for her ailing mother, Anna.

She was a member of Naomi Chapter Order of Eastern Star (OES) #121 in Fort Calhoun.

She is survived by two nieces and their husbands: Lois and Bill Winkler, and Carol and Duanne Sprick; seven great-nieces and nephews; fifteen great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Walter; and a niece, Emilie Sievers.

Memorials are suggested to Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad and Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
